About the Recipe

Ingredients
125 ml of water
125 ml of milk
100 g of butter
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
150 g of flour
4 eggs (50g each egg)
Granulated sugar
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 200°C (th. 6-7) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, bring the water, milk, butter, salt, and sugar to a boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously until the dough pulls away from the sides of the saucepan.
Return the saucepan to low heat and continue stirring the dough for about a minute to slightly dry it out.
Transfer the dough to a bowl and let it cool slightly. about 10 min.
Incorporate the eggs one by one into the dough, mixing well after each addition. The dough should be smooth and homogeneous.
Put the dough into a piping bag fitted with a plain tip.
On the baking sheet, form small mounds of dough spaced apart from each other.
Generously sprinkle each chouquette with granulated sugar.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until the chouquettes are golden and crispy.
Once baked, let them cool on a rack before enjoying.
You can also fill them with pastry cream or melted chocolate for a more indulgent version! Bon appétit!
